I will not burden the business community with my campaign.
As an independent candidate, with no affiliations with any organization or party, no hidden agendas, no personal interests, and no secondary gains, I will prove that it should not take more than $10,000.00 to run this campaign effectively. Hopefully, if I won this race, that will prove me right. And no one should have the gall to ask others to raise $100,000.00 for them to run for City Council again.
I will not solicit the business owners in Westminster or surrounding areas.
I will not accept donation from any special interest groups, except close friends and family members, or those who volunteer to support my cause, without any string attached.
I will make no promises to favor to anyone's agendas, except those who vote for me or the city of Westminster.
Many business owners who migrated here from under-developed countries would see a "request"/solicitation from officials as a demand, if not an order, to contribute to their campaign funds. Since that's the case, many had to give up their hard-earned money for people to run for offices, even though they đi not really want to support those candidates, or couldn't afford to spare that "donation".
I think the business community would know best what to do with their capital/profit.
If they decided to reinvest into their existing business, that would be good for our city. If they decided to spend it, that would be even better for local economies.
Better than spent their money printing thousands of campaign signs that only litter our city [unnecessarily].
