State Senator Lou Correra in the VIP suite with his LiberalOC sticker (c)2009, TheLiberalOC.com
Two votes. That’s what separates former state senator Lou Correa from Andrew Do in the race to replace Do’s boss, Janet Nguyen, in the first district supervisor’s race.

County Supervisor First District, Short Term
Completed Precincts: 101 of 101

Vote Count Percentage
ANDREW DO 16,202 39.0%
LOU CORREA 16,200 39.0%
CHRIS PHAN 6,765 16.3%
CHUYEN VAN NGUYEN 1,620 3.9%
LUPE MORFIN-MORENO 734 1.8%

There are still a significant number of absentee ballots remaining to be counted and there will be a lot bearing yesterday’s postmark that will be counted.

It certainly appears that Vietnamese Democrats in Little Saigon stuck with Lou. We’ll continue tracking the results until a winner is declared.
